En effet, le 16 août 2005, un MD-82 de la compagnie West Caribean effectuait le vol 708 raliant l'aéroport international de Tocumen, Panama à l'aéroport international du Lamentin, Fort-de-france, sur l'île Martinique s'est écrasé non-loin de la ville de Maracaïbo, Vénézuela.
Indeed, on 16th august 2005, a MD-82 of the airline West caribean make the flight 708 from Tocumen International Airport, Panama to Le Lamentin International Airport, Fort-de-France, on Martique island crashed near the city of Maracaïbo, Venezuela.
